Use this Essential Oil for: Composition: Phototoxic Effects of Orange Essential Oil Alchemilla's orange essential oil has been unadultered, meaning it is in its completely natural, unfractionated state. Therefore, if this essential oil is to be used in a leave-on topical product (eg. body lotion, massage oil), the maximum concentration recommended by the International Fragrance Association (IFA) (bergamot, orange, mandarin, lemon, grapefruit) is up to 0.5%, depending upon concentration of terpenes. For example, if you have 30 grams of skin lotion or carrier oil, up to a maximum of 1.5 grams of citrus essential oil is considered safe by the IFA*. * D.G.
