Our Work with the Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticides
The Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticides (NCAP) was formed 32 years ago by farmers and reforestation workers who were greatly concerned about the detrimental health effects of herbicide spraying.
The NCAP runs various educational and lobbying programs to help promote the use of ecologically sound alternatives to the use of pesticides, both in rural and residential settings. It was named one of the top 100 green companies to work with in Oregon.
The NCAP's work primarily involves educating people and groups about the detrimental effects of pesticides, both on human and ecological health, and how we can implement effective and sustainable alternative land management practices; whether it is at home, in our schools, in our parks and communities or in an agricultural setting. The NCAP is also involved in important lobbying efforts to promote stricter laws surrounding the use of these poisons.
Alchemilla has partnered to support the work of NCAP by becoming an NCAP Corporate Member, and by pledging a two dollar donation from the sale of every Alchemilla Organic Skin Care Trial Kit. This financal commitment to NCAP helps support a highly worthwhile, very important cause while providing Alchemilla customers a convenient way to sample our products.
As a company that places strong importance on a toxin-free lifestyle, including in the area of personal care products, Alchemilla is privileged and delighted to be associated with NCAP. If you feel you have a right to pesticide-free waterways, parks, communities, schools and homes, we encourage you to visit the NCAP's website to learn more.
